The next few weeks for you all will be hectic.. I know. I've been there. But luckily, I have you covered. For the next few weeks, I will be your source for 1L hacks and tips for studying and taking midterms!
  • First things first, take these midterms SERIOUSLY! They may only be worth a small percentage of your grade but the score you all get on these midterms may be the difference between making the curve and failing the course! Build your GPA in the beginning semesters when the classes are easier. It will in turn balance out when the classes become harder towards the end of the semester.
  • Start your practice exams NOW! Did you take your driver's license exam without ever getting behind the wheel of a car? Well let me tell you, taking a law school exam without having even looked at the practice exams are basically the same thing. Most professors have an archive of the past exams on TWEN or located on the Capital Law website ( https://law.capital.edu/ExamResources/ ). If they are offering, TAKE THEM! If they aren't offering, ASK FOR THEM!
  • Speaking of practicing, individuals thinking of completing their midterms on laptops should get some practice in with ExamSoft. The software can be pretty tricky if you're new to it. However, to get a small taste of what it will be like to answer essay questions on exam soft, there is a Demo Exam available to get you accustomed to the software. For more information about the ExamSoft software that Capital Law School uses, here are some links! http://law.capital.edu/SofTestDownloadInstallInfo/ , http://law.capital.edu/ExamSoftFAQs/
HAPPY STUDYING!!!
