1L Hacks: Getting Involved

GET INVOLVED IN YOUR SCHOOL

It's the beginning of week two. You are officially PRO's at law school! No, really you are. You're figuring out what you need to do in classes and outside of classes. You're learning, growing, becoming a fantastic law student.

You can do this! You will keep learning and growing and understanding. As time passes, school will get easier and you will do the work faster. DON'T WORRY. It will happen.

Soon you'll be outlining, practicing essay's and multiple choice questions--preparing to take you're first exams.

You have to remember something though. LAW SCHOOL IS ABOUT MORE THAN JUST LEARNING THE LAW.

I know, I know, but hear me out. The end goal here is getting a job, stating your career. There are many avenues to achieve your goal, and yes, you need to study like you've never studied before! But you also need to take time for yourself. SELF-CARE is not a joke.

In addition, you also need to NETWORK, MAKE CONNECTIONS, and GET INVOLVED!

NEXT WEEK on WEDNESDAY, September 4th, you will have the opportunity to meet
(1) presidents of student organizations; (2) organizations seeking student volunteers (a great way to get experience); (3) two of the best study aid companies around; and (4) other excellent opportunities you can utilize to GET INVOLVED.

SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEDNESDAY IN PARKING LOT 1 AT THE ACTIVITIES FAIR!!
