Spotlight on VITA Clinic

YOU WANT PRO BONO HOURS RIGHT?!?!?!

Is this you?
Well, say no more! The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Clinic needs your help! All law students (YES EVEN YOU 1LS), paralegal students, and administration are welcome to be a volunteer. There is NO prior tax training required to become a volunteer.

YES IT CAN! FREE VITA training materials are available for you to pick up outside of Professor Wood's office on the 6th floor, room 610.

TRAINING will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 5:15 PM in room 242. You will be instructed how to pass the necessary exams to become a VITA volunteer; however, it is not necessary to attend the training and be a volunteer. After the training is complete, there will be a sign up list on TWEN for VITA Session on Tuesdays 5-7 PM and Saturdays 9:30-11:30 AM

PRO BONO CREDIT will be organized with Ashley Messick. I KNOW you want those hours towards your Pro Bono Legal Hours requirement, which is 50 by the time you graduate.

If you have any questions please email Professor Wood at rwood@law.capital.edu, the two Student Site Coordinators Victoria HanohanoHong at vhanohanohong@law.capital.edu and Tim Kromer at tkromer@law.capital.edu
