Details: Meticulously constructed out of interviews, photos, and footage of artists such as Walter De Maria, Michael Heizer, Nancy Holt, and Robert Smithson, Troublemakers rediscovers the New York–based land artists of the 1960s and 70s who sought to transcend the limitations of reproducible art by producing earthworks on a monumental scale in the American southwest. The film is a beautiful tribute to the artists who established this more-relevant-than-ever genre and stand in marked contrast to the hyperspeculative contemporary art world of today. Details: Front man and lead singer, Tim Goldrainer is the key ingredient in capturing their large audience, with a crazy, colorful wardrobe, kicking confetti-filled balloons hoisted high over his head, as well as a strong, warm singing style. The excellent guitar work of Stephen Chiodi and unmovable bass lines of John Castetter add an outstanding mixture in the band’s chemistry. Jimi Orwig’s keyboards give them a thick, full sound, with some wonderful leads and some nice Hammond B-3 work easily noticed on their debut CD Infinite Recess.

It’s All Been Done Radio Hour is a monthly radio-style show of three shorts (plus commercials) performed in front of a live audience. It is later broadcast in weekly podcast form. There are currently five separate programs that rotate through the three slots, with a variety of cast members serving in main and guest role capacities. You can look through the various pages of this website to see the stories and cast, as well as audition yourself to be a part of the show! Content is rated PG-13-ish, with some adult humor, but only a little bit of cursing. Tickets can be obtained at MadLab.net or at the door with cash, check, or charge. Parking is free, and a parking pass for your dashboard can be obtained in the lobby.
